The Studzienno 27 retreat by architect Kuba Woźniczka comprises four cross-laminated timber holiday cabins positioned within existing clearings in the Stołowe Mountains National Park. Covering just a small portion of the site, the development preserves approximately 85 percent of the surrounding woodland without removing any trees. Each 85-square-metre cabin rises across two storeys beneath a mono-pitched roof, with blackened timber cladding enclosing exposed CLT interiors. Large windows, balconies and decked terraces are carefully oriented to capture forest views while avoiding disruption to existing vegetation.
The ground floor accommodates an open-plan living, dining and kitchen area alongside a bedroom and bathroom, while a second bedroom and additional bathroom occupy the upper level. Interiors by Madde Studio pair exposed timber walls and ceilings with pale green finishes, bespoke timber joinery and vintage furniture selected to complement the natural material palette.
