Design firm Studio KCA recently created this breathtaking cloud sculpture on Governor's Island in New York City. The installation features over 53,000 recycled plastic bottles rearranged to replicate the look of a white cloud in the sky.

The installation, titled 'Head in the Clouds...,' hopes to bring to the attention of viewers how much plastic product packaging is continuously being thrown out in the trash. The specific use of plastic bottles makes reference to how many bottles are thrown out hourly in New York City alone. The installation is made from a curved mesh outlining that is filled with the various clear plastic bottles. Viewers can go inside the cloud sculpture and experience the sunlight shining through the bottles as if they were trapped inside an airy cloud way up in the sky.
