The conceptual 'Strap Extinguisher' has been created to offer a more stabilized way to extinguish a fire if it breaks out in a home, office or other space and needs to be tended to be nearby inhabitants. The extinguisher works by incorporating a conical aesthetic that is worn over the shoulder and allows for a more stabilized usage experience. This will enable users to maintain better control over the extinguisher as they use it to tame flames that have broken out.
The 'Strap Extinguisher' is the design work of Youngtae Cha, Chanbin Park, Seokyeong Lee and Yeahee Ku, and is the winner of the K-Design Award for 2017. The extinguisher is intended to be kept readily available within a space rather than tucked into a storage box to ensure it's always available.
