Living spaces are becoming smaller, so the need for more functional furniture designs is becoming more apparent as seen with the Accordion Stool design by Natalie Dackelid. The expandable furniture design helps to offer users a place to sit for one or two depending on the requirements at the time.
The Accordion Stool is inspired by the Swedish expression "If there's room in the heart, there's room for the arse," which helps to encourage a more heartfelt approach to design.
Crafted from Swedish ash wood, the Accordion Stool design is finished with a soft pad to help make the seat more comfortable. The folding design of the cushion enables it to be used when the stool is in either single or couple mode.
