'stillmotion' videos are taking initiative to bring attention to some worthy stories.
Called the "Share" projects, 'stillmotion' donates their time, equipment and storyboard know-how to different stories with their aim being as simple as to gathering wider recognition for these people. Their first "Share" project was an interview-type film about the organization, Old Skool Cafe, that gives young people whose lives have been saturated with crime and poverty a solid alternative. It has only been posted for about 12 hours, but already has garnered attention from Vimeo staff, catapulting it to the Vimeo home page as a 'Staff Pick'.
An increasing number of causes are brought to light using easily accessible short films, perhaps the ridiculous amount of time that people are spending meandering through the net will go to better use than towards mindless clicking.
