Stephen Knapp's rainbow hue installation is currently on display at Orlando Museum of Art's Contemporary Glass Sculpture: Celebration the 50th Anniversary of Studio Glass series. The exhibit is fitting with Knapp's piece as he has used glass to relay this assortment of colors.
Although Knapp's work comes across much like a painting here, he has actually delivered this mesmerizing assortment of oranges and blues by way of glass shafts. The pieces reflect white light only, enabling the beams to bounce off one another in multiple directions. He ties the piece to alternative states of mind, "At once both physical objects and illusions, they remind us that dreams, hopes and aspirations are the center of art’s ability to touch the human spirit."
