The Starn Brothers are an artist duo who have put together massive bamboo exhibitions all over the world, with their latest being in Jerusalem. This is the ninth version of the installation, titled 'Big Bambu.'
Before Jerusalem the team put up work on the MET in New York, Rome as well as in Venice. The structure consists of intricately weaved bamboo material, none of which is held up by metal of any kind. Instead, the bomboo is tied together with rope, with the longer pieces as acting more like support for the entity as a whole. When looking at the installation from a ways back, it's incredible to see just how many pieces were used for the design, and how fragile the entire thing appears. Hopefully this isn't the last of these pieces from the Starn Brothers.
