Miguel Vasquez Created Eerie 3D SpongeBob and Patrick Renditions

Miguel Vasquez, an artist whose passion lies in 3D drawing, recently released creative adaptations of SpongeBob and Patrick, the beloved best friends from the American animated series 'SpongeBob SquarePants.'

Although the yellow sponge character who lives under the sea is known for his cute appearance, Vasquez's adaptation swaps his simple cartoon features for highly detailed and humanistic ones. His adaptation of Patrick, the goofy starfish, is executed similarly, making for an end result that's nothing short of nightmarish. More recently, Vasquez created a humanoid Squidward to go along with his versions of SpongeBob and Patrick, and has plans to reveal his own version of Mr. Krabs as well.

Given the popularity of the characters and Vasquez's terrifying adaptations of them, the 3D works have generated a lot of conversation across social media platforms, where the artist has been sharing them.
