There is a definite stiffness about the arrangement of many large offices, between the filing cabinets, the cubicles and the rigid boardroom seating. The Span Rocking Stool has been designed to bring a bit of variety and dynamism to the way that people experience the workplace, keeping employees active and engaged with their surroundings.
Jeffrey Koffman was inspired by the rocking horse and aimed to adapt it for use by adults. It comprises a sturdy arc-shaped base and an inverted arc-shaped frame for structural strength and resistance; it's capped with a circular piece for a seat. The Span Rocking Stool even integrates a wireframe tray for handy storage. The oscillating perch can be used in a number of different settings and can be sat upon in one of two positions.
