Tubular Illuminating Clocks

Urwerk Designs the Space-Time Clock Resembling a Lightsaber

Swiss watchmaker Urwerk works in collaboration with manufacturing company Dalibor Farny to create the new Space-Time Blade. It is a unique clock that measures 65.7 inches and rests inside a glass tube. It resembles the look of something in between a lightsaber and a sword.

The timepiece is made up of Nixir tubes that showcase the hours, minutes, and seconds with the addition of two other tubes that display the Earth's rotation in kilometers. The inspiration behind the look stems from a classic look from the 19th century. It was created by Gustave Sandoz and dubbed Equatorial time, which also was able to showcase the Earth's orbit. The unique new clock will be available for the Only Watch charity auction in November.
