Candle retailer Detroitwick recently created a line of soy candles that are sold in repurposed Grey Goose vodka bottles to help promote recycling in the Detroit area. These candles cleverly turn disposable packaging into elegant decor pieces thanks to Detroitwick's founder Doug Schwartz.
Detroitwick creates high-quality soy candles that are environmentally friendly as well as long-lasting. The candles are made with a soy base so that they burn much longer than conventional candles -- up to 72 hours. These candles also have a sweet sugar scent. Each candle comes packaged in a recycled Grey Goose bottls that have been sliced to size to fit a small or large candle size. A portion of the purchases also go to an organization called Green Living Science to help fund education about protecting the environment.
