The Smoke Pole Rewards Smokers with Music and Bright Lights

The smoke pole is trying a different method for getting people to dispose of their litter. For every cigarette butt that smokers dispose of, the smoke pole will light up and play music to reward them for not throwing it on the ground.

The smoke pole is a very different cigarette butt disposal unit. The pole has 56 LED lights of different colors and also speakers to play music whenever a cigarette butt is disposed of. There are 50 sound samples that are randomly programmed into it, so a smoker can receive all different kinds of songs as a reward.

The team that put it together saw that by encouraging people to do something rather than forcing them, results could get done easier.
