Nicotine-Quitting Gamification Apps

UNSMOKE Launches a New Platform for Quitting Smoking

A team of innovators from the Faculty of Intelligent Electrical and Informatics Technology (ELECTICS) at Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) is tackling one of Indonesia’s most pressing health challenges with Unsmoke—a digital health startup designed to help smokers quit through an engaging, personalized experience.

As Indonesia’s first AI-powered quit-smoking companion app, Unsmoke blends artificial intelligence with gamification to offer a flexible, tailored program based on each user's age, gender, smoking history, and habits. Notably, Unsmoke’s unique approach adjusts challenges and motivational tools in real time, supporting either gradual or cold-turkey quitting paths. The app tracks users’ health improvements and financial savings, and if a relapse occurs, it dynamically adapts the plan—so users can pick up right where they left off. This thoughtful innovation positions Unsmoke as a standout in the digital wellness space, combining tech, psychology, and social impact to help users breathe easier.
