Suning recently opened its first smart retail experience center, which represents an upgraded version of its flagship store in Nanjing that fuses physical and digital experiences. The new location is designed to offer a modern shopping experience with a format that promises to "break the time and space restrictions" and offer 24-hour sampling across all categories.
Within the store, consumers can interact with virtual shelves in the form of smart screens to purchase products. Screens are important fixtures in the retail space, as the showroom is said to use three LEDs to form an L-shaped stage interactive screen, as well as three transparent window screens. Appealing to young shoppers, the space caters to a new generation with smart home appliance brands, a 5G Experience Lounge and more.
