The Minneapolis-based creative agency 'Solve,' recently embarked on a hiring campaign that involved setting up a small-scale office on college campuses across the country.
Instead of opting for a more traditional hiring process, Solve took its quest for summer interns on the road. The agency visited a number of different college campuses and set up a small-scale office at each one. The temporary office was a replica of the agency's Minneapolis office and included a collaborative workspace, conference room and even a reception area. Applications where then given five-minute assignments to test their skills. Those who successfully completed the challenges were interviewed on the spot for the coveted internship position.
Setting up a mini agency on college campuses demonstrates how companies can come directly to students in order to make the hiring process more personal and engaging.
