SitTight Improves Health for People Who Sit for Long Hours

Most people are aware of the potential health detriments that come with sitting for long hours at a time, but the SitTight chair lets people stay seated without having to deal with those issues as acutely. The chair encourages active sitting by engaging the body's natural ability to balance while in a constant state of motion.

From top to bottom, the SitTight chair is ergonomically designed. The seat is made of mesh, and it has a slight curve along two axes. This design lets workers sit in the chair either traditionally or saddle-style, thus exercising different muscles throughout the day.

The balance platform at the bottom of the chair is made from injection plastic, and the low profile convex dome doesn't sit flat. This forces sitters to constantly balance — not so much that it requires focus, but enough to prevent excess sedentary time.
