Shuffleboard is a sport that's typically reserved for retirees and cruise ship patrons, but thanks to The Royal Palms Shuffleboard Club, it has a new crowd taking interest. Shuffleboard has taken a younger demographic by storm at The Royal Palms Shuffleboard Club's first location in New York. A second location is soon opening in a 17,000-square-foot Chicago warehouse and teams are lining up to play what is likely to be their first game of shuffleboard during the bar's league nights.
The bar serves summery drinks and has a Florida vibe in a warehouse-sized space complete with cabanas. The Chicago venue will even feature a rooftop deck, which is sure to be a popular addition. With no sign of the popularity of shuffleboard slowing down, it looks like Millennials everywhere will be well-equipped for retirement life.
