The 'Sewn Chair' Is Greet For Needlework Lovers

At first glance you might say this is a look alike of their Cut Chair or Sliced Sofa; however, the Sewn Chair is a new design from The Home Key, an Italian luxury furniture factory. Its designer is Philippo Ghezzani.

When you look at the other photos, you’ll see what he means. Just wait, sewing and knitting will be "en vogue."

Implications - This trend is a response to the general manufacturing trend since the Industrial Revolution. Consumers -- especially those that can afford more high-end product -- are tired of factory-made products from places where labor costs less. Instead, there is a return to vintage and retro designs like knitting, which emphasizes the homemade aspect.
