As an alternative to ordinary Christmas light shows, London's Seven Dials shopping district recently launched a 3D projection mapping display outdoors using cutting-edge technology.
The projection mapping show included woodland creatures that came to life on the building that lined the streets, enchanting pedestrians as they passed by. The vibrant holiday display also included a Christmas poem that connected the lights to a trail that could be explored, starting on London's Monmouth Street. As far as the impact that the projection mapping made, it's been said that: "Seven Dials came alive and the atmosphere was incredible."
Holiday shoppers were also enticed to stay for the free event with complimentary wreath-making sessions, s'more snacks, a pop-up "alfresco" winter bar and even an enchanted nail bar to get a festive manicure.
