Debonair Wildlife Portraits

The 'Seriously Styled Animals' Collection is Photorealistic

The animal kingdom has never looked so domestic and debonair as it does in the collection of portraits from the 'Seriously Styled Animal' series available through AnimalCrew's Etsy site.

The collection almost looks like a photorealistic version of the popular children's show Babar. Elephants and tigers are dressed as high status members of society while members of the Cervidae family (deers and moose) are represented in a more James Dean-type fashion with red leather vests and a cool composure.

Each portrait takes the personality of a specific animal and incorporates it into a human-like representation. Whether the artists are suggesting that humans have more animal tendencies or the other way around remains the opinion of the viewer. I for one can see how the inquisitive ferret may come off as a scholarly socialite.
