The Semai_Blown Glass Lamp may not be the first of its kind, but it is certainly one of the more interesting designs that adheres to a sort of bubbling effect. Playing with the tradition of glass blowing, it introduces a geometric frame that provides a stylish restriction on the application of this time-honored technique.
Designed by Milan-based industrial designer Valerio Sommella in collaboration with Alberto Saggia for Vistosi, the Semai_Blown Glass Lamp is engineered and made in Italy. Constructed using a metal frame and glass, the Semai_Blown Glass Lamp would make a sculptural addition to any domestic or commercial space. In spite of its bulbous form, there is a simplicity to the design that allows it to fit into any setting.
