German automaker Mercedes-Benz has launched an exceptionally high-tech self-driving bus, aptly dubbed Future Bus, that is designed to offer a higher level of functioning thanks to an array of high-tech elements that bolster the vehicle's radar and connectivity systems.
This high-tech self-driving bus happens to be based on Mercedes-Benz Citaro bus, and comes fully powered by a Mercedes-Benz OM 936 six-cylinder engine that is more than capable of offering a power output of 299 horsepower. The vehicle was augmented by the installation of a CityPilot technology platform that allows for lane-assist, acceleration assistance, braking functionalities and more. The inside of the bus features a unique open-plan feel inspired by urban parks.
