Cérevine Girard, a contemporary product designer, has created Séjour, a collection of self-care devices that almost look as though they haven't been designed at all. The unisex set of tools includes an electric razor, a hair dryer, and a hair straightener, all of which feature minimalist polymer covers and simple shapes that increase their utility.
Many products in the small appliance category aim to differentiate themselves with complex and fascinating form factors. However, this strategy isn't the only way to make waves (or straight hair, for that matter). Girard's Séjour takes precisely the opposite tack. The products are all made from a polymer called FluidSolids, which makes them easy to assemble and dissemble, as well as making them completely recyclable.
