Lofoten Seaweed is a new brand that's been developed to introduce seaweed as "the weed that's good for you" and a modern kitchen staple.
With an emphasis on humor, health and sustainability, Lofoten Seaweed aims to show how seaweed can be introduced into food chains of the future. The new Norwegian brand was created by a pair of women, including a fisherman’s daughter from Lofoten and another who grew up eating seaweed regularly with dishes served by her Japanese mother.
Lofoten Seaweed makes upscale seaweed products like Lofoten Umami, Ocean Truffle Salt and Fresh Ocean Truffle, each of which is sold in premium packaging that will help to make the general public more open-minded about incorporating the marine algae into their diet.
