Wyze Unveils the 'Scale X' for Multi-Purpose Weighing

Wyze's 'Scale X' smart scale has been unveiled. The product is a regular smart scale at a lower price point, now $33.99, and comes complete with new ‘Baby,’ ‘Pet,’ and ‘Luggage’ modes, allowing you to measure objects besides yourself without having to do the calculations.

Smart scales employ “bioelectric impedance analysis” to get a rough assessment of your body composition. The scale sends a weak current through a person's body to detect how much body fat, water, and lean mass they have. Because this may not be safe for pregnant women, the new ‘Pregnancy Mode’ turns off the electricity. Consumers who have implanted medical devices can also use ‘Pregnancy Mode’ to avoid complications with their implants.

The 'Scale X' is available via Wyze's website. Wyze Cam Plus subscribers get an additional $5 discount at checkout.
