These grilled cheese sandwich rolls are specially designed for dunking in a steaming bowl of soup. While grilled cheese and tomato soup is a classic combination, regular-sized sandwiches aren't ideal for dipping. Food blogger Tym Bussanich came up with the perfect solution to this problem, by turning a regular grilled cheese into a compact sandwich roll.
The delicious grilled cheese dunkers are simple to make and require only a few ingredients. Begin by flattening a piece of sandwich bread and topping it with as much cheese as you want. Then roll the sandwich into a log shape and slather it with butter. Place the rolls on a hot pan and toast them the same way you would grill a normal grilled cheese. Once the sandwich rolls are golden brown, remove them from the pan and enjoy them with a piping hot bowl of soup.
