Sam Vanallemeersch is a Belgium illustrator with a penchant for drawing elaborate scenes that are characterized by chaos and mayhem.
Sam Vanallemeersch's work is strongly influenced by elements of abstract art and he is equally adept at illustrating work that strongly relies on a cacophony of bright colors as he is at drawing the same mayhem-crazed scenes in black and white. Both show a different side of his talent. His illustrations have a powerful and distinctive aesthetic -- some parts of the drawing seem to be nothing more than scribbles and loose outlines, but each piece of it seems to be apart of a deliberate Sam Vanallemeersch aesthetic.
With a style so original and art so elaborate, it shouldn't be long before Sam Vanallemeersch begins to draw attention from the commercial world and his work is seen by far more people. Until then, enjoy some of my favorite Sam Vanallemeersch illustrations.
