Ryan Johnson's latest series of sculptures address the uncomfortable notion of midlife crises. He reveals, "I think my new work has a feeling of unease, restlessness and transition which I have been noticing within myself and in my circle of friends lately. There is an ambient pressure that comes with mid-30s adulthood that is difficult to articulate." Ryan Johnson has manipulated and warped familiar forms to convey these feelings and more.

Born in Karachi and based in Brooklyn, Ryan Johnson's work is currently being exhibited at the Suzanne Geiss Company. Full of raw emotions and allegories, the sculptures not only explore a common occurrence in life, it also shows people that they are not alone in their uncertainties.
