Canadian artist Jason Boyd Kinsella introduces the latest Impermanent State of Being exhibition at Perrotin. It approaches paintings from an abstract design language through a geometric perspective that challenges an existential theme for the season.
The artist breaks down different personality traits through the use of shapes and colors, playing with dimensions and sizes as well. This allows for a psychological approach and brings forth the conversation of the digital age and how it can be switched around in terms of identity and appearances. Speaking about his new solo exhibition, the artist releases a statement, “my visual language telegraphs this impermanence by illustrating our existence as a delicate assemblage of shapes unbound by the flesh.”
