Dads Ate Free as Part of the Roy Rogers Father's Day Promotion

The Roy Rogers Father's Day promotion was a nod to the hard work that dads do year-round -- and a pretty good deal as well. The deal, which took place over Father's Day weekend 2016, offered a free combo meal to any dads that stopped by a Roy Rogers franchise.

In order to keep men honest, the Roy Rogers Father's Day promotion had a fail-safe built into it. If dads wanted to get a free combo meal for themselves, they'd have to purchase a kids' meal as well. Not only does that ward off unscrupulous deal-hunters, but it also encourages dads and their kids to eat together on Father's Day.

In conjunction with the Roy Rogers Father's Day promotion, the QSR also announced a new menu item: the Ice Cream Float. That item is now a permanent beverage on Roy Rogers' summer menu.
