The Rolls-Royce Alpine Ghost Commemorates the Austrian Alpine Trials

Those who know a thing or two about the history of Rolls-Royce are going to be all about the Rolls-Royce Alpine Ghost. This special edition was created to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Austrian Alpine Trials, an event which saw four Silver Ghosts drive 1,820 miles into the Alps.

An excerpt from CarBuzz states that the Austrian Alpine Trials was an event that “helped cement the marque’s reputation for peerless reliability and mechanical excellence." The Rolls-Royce Alpine Ghost is distinguished by its light blue paint job and its unique wheels, which the company says were inspired by the wheels on the Silver Ghosts of 100 years ago. The Alpine Ghost is set to make its official debut at the 2013 Shanghai Motor Show, which runs from April 20th to the 29th.
