Richard’s Rainwater will Only be Sold in Cans and Bottles

Concerns regarding plastic waste on a global scale is seeing brands respond with new initiatives as seen with Richard’s Rainwater that aim to eliminate its unnecessary use. The new initiative from the Austin-based company will see its products only packaged in aluminum cans and glass bottles to highlight the highly recyclable nature of the product. This movement by the brand is already being applauded by a number of retailers across the US as they seek to stock more eco-conscious products.

The plastic-free packaging from Richard’s Rainwater has been announced alongside a new partnership with the Austin Parks Foundation that will see all profits from March 2020 of the brand's cans donated to the nonprofit. These funds have already been earmarked for getting recycling containers put throughout the nearly 300 parks across Austin, Texas.
