While there are some restaurant training programs that are dynamic and immersive, most of them take the form of training videos that fail to engage new employees. Honeygrow—a fast-casual Asian fusion restaurant chain—sets itself apart in this regard by leveraging the latest virtual reality technology for employee training.
Honeygrow had a custom VR app for Google Daydream created by interactive art studio Klip Collective, which offers an immersive 360-degree look at the company's culture. The experience also includes 3D animations and even an interactive gaming experience.
Virtual reality training simulations are becoming more common across multiple industries, providing safe spaces for practicing tasks that could be potentially life-threatening in some fields of work, as well as offering comfortable environments for new employees to learn without pressure.
