This Residential Housing Unit Seamlessly Blends with the Outdoors

LIV 1 is a residential housing unit in Mexico designed by MOCAA arquitectos, providing three kinds of living spaces from penthouses to townhouses and apartments, all under one roof.

In order to make the most of the daylight that the building is exposed to, the building is oriented to the south and features large windows to let in as much natural light as possible. Taking advantage of this, each townhouse unit is complete with a small garden that can easily be accessed through a sliding door. Similarly, residents of the penthouse units have access to their own private gardens and a roof terrace. In order to promote harmony between the exterior and interior space, many of the same materials—wood, concrete and granite—were used inside and out to create a seamless flow.
