This wicked piece of headgear was designed by Filippo Cazzaniga for Yamaha. Called the Lizard Helmet, it features a lizard-like mohawk on the top of the helmet that seems extremely slimy.
The Lizard Helmet would definitely be distracting for other drivers, but would certainly add some style and spunk to a bikers gear this summer.
Implications - Like a lot of subcultures, punk has gone mainstream whether hardcore supporters like it or not. Unfortunately for scenesters, alternative cultures are what attracts people's attention; just look at what grunge did for the fashion industry. As these lifestyles and music genres continue to pop up, companies will continue trying to capitalize on them as a way to make profit off a wider audience.
