Functional Postbiotic Beverages

Refrezz Supports Relaxation, Sleep Support and Immune Health

As a new wave of better-for-you beverages dominates the soda category, Asahi Beverages America debuted Refrezz at Expo West 2025. These canned postbiotic beverages contain compounds that help with everything from supporting overall well-being to relaxation, and sleep. These wellness sodas made with non-fat milk are coming to consumers in flavors like Lemon & Ginger, Blueberry & Mint, and Apple & Rosemary.

In place of high-sugar sodas, a new generation of consumers is reaching for sodas with functional benefits and value-added ingredients like L-92, and CP2305, which is associated with both refreshing and supporting restful sleep.

Although prebiotic beverages are immensely popular at the moment, a consumer might choose a postbiotic beverage instead because it contains beneficial compounds that are already fermented, making them easier for the body to absorb and digest.
