The Reebok Classics Spring/Summer Ad is Simple yet Effective
Jonathon Brown — January 15, 2013 — Fashion
For the Reebok Classics Spring/Summer collection, the streetwear/sneaker company opted to go with a candid, life-like video look book rather than a contrived, over-styled studio shoot.
There’s certainly something to be said for seeing a collection of clothes in their natural habitat. Reebok chose to take this route to show of their new collection and it works perfectly. The Reebok Classics Spring/Summer collection is shown in exactly the kinds of settings Reebok’s young target demographic would be wearing it: with their friends.
The look book is simple, yet conveys a mildly mischievous energy as we’re shown various young people doing everything from standing on cars to climbing fences to doing bicycle tricks. There are no high-performance stunts or even comic relief, just good, old-fashioned hanging out. Would you hang out in these?
