Seattle's Best Coffee, the Starbucks-owned coffee brand, has launched The Red Cup Showdown, a competition featuring celeb chef Jeff Mauro that asks consumers to create their own unique coffee brew for a chance to win awesome prizes.
The Red Cup Showdown will be featured at state fairs across the United States. Here, consumers can get creative and concoct a special coffee drink inspired by carnival foods, like candy, ice cream, deep fried oreos and even bacon. As Mauro states, "State Fairs are a hotbed of cooking creativity. There’s no better place to go to see how Seattle’s Best Coffee can be shaken up, turned upside down and transformed into something we’ve never tasted before."
Contestants can also enter The Red Cup Showdown via Facebook by submitting their recipes on the brand's Facebook fan page. Grand prizes include $10,000 as well as the chance to have the drink creation sold at Seattle's Best Coffee stores around the United States.
