This Small Polish Town Received a Revitalized Lakeshore

Poprocany is a heavily visited area in the Polish city of Tychy that is receiving a recreational lakeshore design. The lake has become a meeting place for the town's residents and is also in close proximity to community centers.

Central to the project is a large wooden promenade that overlooks the lake. The wooden structure is meant to increase pedestrian traffic, as well as provide a safe running and cycling track. Some parts of the wooden promenade house a series of nets that will hover over the water. These cozy nets provide more seating and sunbathing options for visitors. The goal of the redesign was to increase seating and lounging space, which was done through the addition of various shaded areas and tables with views of the lake.
