For whatever reason, society tends to frame off-road rallies as masculine endeavors, but the 'Rebelle Rally' is trying to change that perception. The event is an all-female navigational rally that spans a desolate stretch of desert across Nevada and California.

The women competing in the Rebelle Rally are forbidden access to cell phones or GPS equipment. This means that the 1,200 miles that competitors cover over the course of seven days must be navigated through the use of maps and compasses alone. To win the competition, the all-female vehicles of two must reach multiple daily checkpoints quickly and without incurring penalties for receiving outside assistance.

The competition is divided into two vehicle classes: 4x4 and crossover. Beyond that, the only requirement is that the vehicles must be street legal.
