The Prospect Berkshires Resort Introduces Cedar-Sheathed Cabins by a Lake

The Prospect Berkshires resort introduces cedar-sheathed cabins nestled by a lake on 30 acres in Massachusetts by deploying a series of modular structures arranged around Prospect Lake and the surrounding white-pine forest. The cabins are finished externally in natural cedar cladding and internally in hickory plywood and pine paneling to create a warm, consistent material palette. Large sliding glass doors and full-height windows frame lake and woodland views while radiant-heated floors and clean minimal furnishings support year-round comfort.

Car frames are hidden behind removable slats to reduce site impact and to preserve the forest edge. Utility systems and communal amenities including a sauna, pool and dining house are integrated into the landscape hotel’s layout to reinforce connection to nature rather than separate the architecture from the outdoors.
