With Octoberfest just around the corner, it appears that fast food brands like Burger King may be giving a subtle nod to the festival with menu items like the new Pretzel Bacon King. Served on a fluffy pretzel bun, this new dish combines a Bavarian classic with North America's favorite comfort food.
The new Pretzel Bacon King is a hearty new offering from Burger King Canada. The sandwich is similar to a classic cheeseburger with its two Whopper patties, four slices of American cheese, and a few strips of crispy bacon. The biggest difference is that this hearty burger is served on a new Pretzel Bun.
While the new burger appears to be a Canadian exclusive, US consumers have certainly demonstrated their own love for a fluffy pretzel bun.
