Piersten Gaines is changing the game for the natural hair community by launching the natural hair salon Pressed Roots.
Gaines is a Harvard graduate who saw a major gap in the salon industry. She knew just how important it is for those with natural hair to have a “place that can consistently press your beautiful tresses in a fast yet healthy way," but had trouble finding a salon that fit that description. So, she decided to open a salon that did exactly that.
Pressed Roots is a natural hair salon that specifically specializes in heat-styling textured hair. All of the stylists at Pressed Roots are educated in the complexities of natural hair and the various different curl patterns out there. This allows the stylists to expertly provide silk presses to those of all hair types.
Pressed Roots currently has several locations throughout Texas, and appointments can be made online.
