In an effort to go beyond the basic sesame buns offered at most fast food chains, Bruxie has debuted two new fried chicken sandwiches made with Portuguese Buns. Light, buttery, and super soft, the new buns are the perfect complement to the chain's signature fried chicken.
To introduce consumers to its new Portuguese Buns, Bruxie has debuted two new sandwiches: The Boss and El Jefe. The former features fried chicken, shredded lettuce, tomato, pickles, and Bruxie sauce sandwiched between two fluffy Portuguese Buns. The latter is a much more spicy option that combines the buttery buns with fried chicken, carnita-spiced rub, cabbage-jalapeno slaw, pickled red onions, and chipotle mayo. As Bruxie Founder & Chef Kelly G. Mullarney explains, "The Boss and El Jefe feature a soft, light, buttery BUN that enhances our bold flavors and creates a sandwich that’s truly craveable."
