Breakfast Vending Machines

Quaker's Pop-Up Breakfast Vending Machine Doles Out Free Meals

In line with the many pop-up kiosks and vending machines that are now being used for marketing, Quaker put together a fun pop-up breakfast station to engage consumers first thing in the morning.

A sign declaring "Free Breakfast" was stationed beside a large vending machine, which was filled with two "robots" who would prepare one's customized oatmeal choices. These helpers were not actually high-tech machines, but humans dressed in suits, which makes the preparation of food orders seem all the more special.

The stunt was a success at drawing crowds and getting people to try a sample of Quaker products—this is especially true because people got to walk away with full bellies and a fun story to tell others afterwards.
