Beyond Dropped Three Hoodies with Physical & Digital Elements

Beyond, a tech studio specializing in virtual fashion, dropped three phygital hoodies with physical and digital elements. The studio's first capsule collection explores the future of digital fashion with augmented reality, NFC chips and QR codes that link to virtual experiences. With an NFC-enabled device, users can connect to a Snapchat Lens and immerse themselves in a connected experience. In all, there are three physical hoodie designs and three virtual layers that are projected onto the designs.

When developing the Beyond03 Collection, Beyond digitally designed and edited the styles with the aid of customized 3D avatars, which allowed the studio to sidestep waste creation normally incurred through the process of refining and sampling designs.

The first physical version of the Tech Hoodie was recently released as a limited-edition style and the following two are set to go on sale in Q2 of 2024.
