A reddit user who goes by the name delpaint recently posted his mother's photo illustrations on the sharing site. As it turns out, the mother is amazingly talented and is receiving a lot of artistic credit. The visual artist creates her work by extending original photographs with pencil sketches; essentially, she is extending the scenes around the photos.
Her drawings complete the scenes and are so realistic that you can barely locate where the original photo is. Along with her talented imagery, she makes sure that the colors she uses correspond to those in the original image perfectly in order to further camouflage the photos' edges. One can easily mistake the framed artworks for an entire photo, instead of two separate artworks fused into one.
