For the time being, the majority of transportation will be taking place on the ground, but this personal helicopter design allows us to imagine what could be coming in the future. Designed by Sreejin Uchummal of the M.S. Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences in India, the helicopter provides fantastic functionality for a single rider.
Currently in conceptual phases, the single-seater helicopter is designed to offer a person the ability to get to and from distant locations in much less time. While self-driving cars will no doubt help to reduce traffic congestion, we could see personal helicopter designs like this one becoming the norm for consumers who can afford them.
Although conceptual, the helicopter design has been produced as a scaled model for design validation purposes.
