There's not to much that's fun about laundry, which makes advertising it that much more difficult—but these print ads for Persil are at least interactive, which is more than you can say for a lot of laundry ads. The ads are presented like optical illusions, showing off the power of the laundry wash. Blurry words like "wine," "curry" and "ink" are shown like stains on a white fabric and viewers are instructed to stare at a small bottle of Persil for 10 seconds to make the stained words magically disappear.
The ads by DDB Mexico are a brilliant way to demonstrate the product's power without a consumer having to pick up or purchase a bottle, as well as burn the look of Persil bottles into the backs of people's minds.
