Dolmio's Pepper Hacker Encourages Quality Family Time at Dinner

In addition to providing seasoning, this unique pepper mill from Dolmio also serves up some much-needed respite to the constant bombardment that comes from TVs, smartphones, tablets, smart speakers and other wearables that fill our houses. Since these are all devices that can take away from family bonding time, especially at the dinner table, Dolmio sought to hijack homes and rekindle special moments.
As well as containing a small chamber for peppercorns, the Pepper Hacker was invented and equipped with technology to shut down apps, TVs and other devices nearby when twisted. Although handing the pepper mills to frustrated mothers resulted in many "tablets and tantrums thrown," being undisturbed by the presence of technology at the table helped to foster quality time.
As more technology users aim to strike a balance between time spent connected and disconnected, devices like these help to enforce breaks.
